My passion for photography developed while I was in high school, shortly after I lost my grandmother. Within her personal belongings, I found a 15-year-old Canon EF SLR along with several lenses. I later found out she purchased this camera shortly after my birth to photograph me as I grew up. I began taking summer school photography classes using that same camera.
As technology advanced, I upgraded cameras, and my enthusiasm with photography grew. My first hired job came about when a friend from nursing school became engaged and asked me to photograph her wedding. Since then I have captured moments from several engagements, weddings, birthdays and family gatherings - some of which you can see on this website.
My photography style is very simplistic. Along with capturing moments everyone wants to see, I tend to focus on the smaller details people don't usually think about, but will forever fondly remember in the back of their minds - a favorite toy, a number outside of a hospital room, the necklace from a beloved relative, or the folded afghan in the corner grandma made for the baby.
Moments are precious, and it's my privilege to capture them.
